Louise Scott

LOUISE SCOTT has lived and had a studio in Glasgow for the last 12 years after having previously lived for 17 years in Orkney where she had The Inkstone Gallery in South Ronaldsay. Louise specialises in copper plate etching and uses The Glasgow Print studios to produce much of her work. She has always been preoccupied with the natural world and completed a Post Grad Diploma in Countryside Management after her Printmaking Degree at Cheltenham College of Art in 1986. Having a keen birdwatcher father Louise has continued to be fascinated by birds. However, recent work is taking a turn towards Japanese gardens and a slightly more abstract approach to the natural world.
